Dragon Wheels Restorations 1966 Shelby GT350

1965 Build date, 1966 Model, Shelby GT350. One of the very earliest cars constructed by Shelby American after the run of “Carry-over” cars was completed. Finished as a plain white, no stripe, no radio, automatic transmission car. Vehicle sat unsold in Dealership for over a year until being traded-on and finally sold to its one owner in early 1967.
This gentleman kept and used the car until his passing where it passed to his son, but at that point needed a full rebuild and was sold. Brought to the UK and subjected to a Nut and Bolt total rebuild and during final repaint, the Guardsman Blue stripes were added. The automatic transmission was carefully rebuilt and stored away, as the car was fitted with a 66/67 period 4-speed top-loader transmission and related components. The rear axle is a True-Trac LSD 3.50:1 and the car rides on period wheels and tyres. It still remains a no-radio car.
